Italian Trail Reports

The Tenna Valley and Sulmona trails retrace the routes taken by Allied prisoners of war escaping from Campo 59 and other Italian camps after September 1943. Walking through the Marche and Abruzzo regions, participants visit the villages where helpers sheltered evaders and lay wreaths at memorials to those who gave their lives.
